I need to replace the rear differential cover (it leasks due to rust). The GM factory replacement has a location for the fill plug, but no actual hole or threaded hole to allow for the plug. Is the fill plug on the front side of the differential?

The fill plug should be located on the passenger side of the differential above the yoke.
