2000 Chevy Blazer compressor

How do i test my air compressor to see if its faulty or not? I've had my vehicle in the shop 2times for different things and both times the compressor did not come on. The first time there was a wire not connected and i reconnected it and it worked. This time all the wires are connected and no fuses are blown and just blowing out hot air. I put a gauge on to add freon but the gauges said i had plenty. Not sure where to start next.[/quote:7d3b71b881]

if the compressor isnt running then you cant tell how much freon you have, when its on see if you have power to the compressor, you have to start there, also you can jump the low pressure switch with a jumper wire and see if the compressor comes on, then you can ck the freon
