I am having issues with my 4x4 switch. I have had it replaced about 6 months ago. I have also had the encoder/shifter motor replaced. I can hear the switch trying to change inside the glove box, but it will jump back into 4 wheel high. I have had several mechanics look into this issue and the Cherolet dealership check this out also. One mechanic suggested having the swith changed, which I did. The dealership diagnosed the problem as the shifter motor, which I had replaced but that did not work. What else could it be?

If the transfer case is stuck in 4 lo, you are getting power to the actuator and the actuator is good, there has to be an internal problem within the transfer case itself.
