My 1999 4.3 Chevy Blazer overheated due to a stuck thermostat. Now I have a bad water leak coming from the left rear side of the intake manifold. I have the tools and some experience. Can I remove the manifold and replace the gasket by myself without any special tools? If I have a shop replace it what would be the average cost?
Thanks,
Doug

Doug:

It really is no different than any other, and it doesn't require any special tools. If you get a repair manual and follow it, you should be fine. Make sure to properly torque the bolts and follow the sequence provided by the manual.

If you run into trouble, let me know.

Joe
