i hit my brakes hard to stop, and now i here a dragging sound could the four by four brakes lock up and still drive the truck

HI there,

If you have a wheel locked you will know about it, check under the car for any object you may have run over, and jack up each wheel and make sure that each is free to turn, if you have a LSD you will need to jack up both rear wheels at the same time.
