I have a98 s-10 blazer 4.3L V6 262 cid&just put a new cam&lifters while a friend installed the cam bearings. The problem lies within timeing&misfiring&it knocks under 2500 rpm.I put new wires, plugs, cap, rotor, cmp&crk, sensors ,timeing chain&youname it,&Istill cant figure it out.Think it may be something with cam? Ran clearance check& seemed to loose. WHat do you think?

It sounds like the cam is timed wrong or there is a problem with the way you installed the distributor.
What does a scanner show for the timing and any codes it may have? What did the bottom end look like? I would recheck the cam and the timing.
