i am having a problem with my altnator not wanting to start charging on cold start up it will take 10min-30min to start charging the battery are new and the altnator also it does the samething i
the plug on the bank of the altnator is kinda like a wake up to tell the alt. to start charging right? the pluse wire should have 12v but mine only has 4.5v i was told the the wire was wired right in to the ign. but i trace the wire to the pcm so is something wrong with the pcm or somthing else

Sounds like the field generation control of the powertrain control module
