Engine Performance problem
1998 Chevy Blazer Four Wheel Drive
----------------------------------------------------------------
My blazer is having trouble going up hills, like it can't catch into gear. I am afraid to drive it right now for fear of it breaking down. My husband noticed the transmission fluid is low and I will fix that, but there is another container for fluids (I think he said by the battery) and we are not sure what is supposed to go in there. There are no markings and it is empty. I just bought this a few months ago. Is this the reason I could be having the trouble with it, or does it sound like something else?

hmmm sounds like its either windshield washer solvent or coolant considering its by the battery, is there a filter in the top of it or a plastic thing with fine cuts in it? just a open hole?

any hoses going from it and to wehre?

Not sure, will have to ask my husband about that. If it is the coolant, would that have anything to do with it not catching gears right?
