Has the check engine light come on? This sounds like a trans problem, but I need to know about the light.

***I'm having the same problem, but it's more around 20-25mph. The check engine light had been on for a day or so, but has since shut off.
When getting moving from a dead stop, the RPM's will just continue to climb, seemingly without tranfering any 'power' to the wheels. Help please?

It sounds like it could be a problem within the trans. Have you had the computer scanned?

I had it scanned about 5-6 months ago when the light first started coming on accompanied by some nasty shift-shock. They said it was a faulty trans. Solenoid. (Sp?)

A bad shift solenoid can cause a delayed or abrupt shift. Did you ever replace them?
