1997 Chevy Blazer Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Have a 1997 blazer that will not start. It cranks and gets spark. The battery is good and has fuel in tank. Any solution.

Hi:
If you are getting spark, you need to check for fuel pressure. The pump may be bad or have a clogged fuel filter. Go to this site:

https://www.2carpros.com/dia/test_fuel_pressure.htm

It is a video from this web page that explains how to check fuel pressure. You should be able to rent or borrow a a pressure gauge at most nationally recognized parts stores.

Let me know if this helps.

That was what I thought too but the fuel pump is good and there is plenty of fuel pressure.

If the fuel pressure is good and you have good spark, then you either have low compression or the timing is out. If you haven't performed a pressure test, it may be low enough to cause the problem. Also, if you spray starting fluid in the throttle body, will it start and run for a few seconds?
