i got the book on this blazer.... everything went sweet as hell until i had to remove the distributor itself.... i marked where the rotor went... and there is no need to mark the distributor because there is a spread pin for the hold down. (it is the ECI) i believe, not the HEI.. also i believe the vin has the W? in it? all i know is, this isnt like the 4.3s with TBI... i am just looking for any tricks people may know.... i have 1.5hrs invested into this so far..... i have the plenum off, valve covers off, lower intake manifold off, and finally got my hands on a powersteering pump puller.... removed the pulley, and now i have the alternator bracket, and powersteering pump removed... 2morrow i will remove the ac compressor bracket... just looking for any tips.... also, when i removed the distributor, i did have the timing marks aligned so cyl. 1 was at TDC..... i know these are easy, but im outside, and its cold, haha any tricks would be helpful thankyou!
