1996 Chevy Blazer vents not working

Air Conditioning problem
1996 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My air conditioning vents only work when i put the dial to combined air head/floor otherwise the air blows through the defrost vent at winshield. When the vents are working on combined air they hardly blow at all.Please tell me why!!!!!!!!!

Also how hard is it to change the spark plugs in my truck.
