1996 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I just replaced a serpentine belt with a new one and the new belt broke in half. I only had it in my vehicle for a day. What may have caused this?

check and make sure none of your pullies are locked up. also check and make sure it was properly installed. let me know if you have nay questions
