1996 Chevy Blazer Engine does hold temperature

I replaced the theromstat and the engine still does not come up to operating temperature

Make sure your coolant is clean and in good condition for your climate. If it is good, you might just have an air pocket in the system. You can solve this by removing the thermostat and filling the coolant until it comes out of the opening, then reinstall the thermostat. After that, top off the coolant and test drive. Let me know if this helps. :)
