Interior problem 1996 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic can i replace or have just the button replaced. flashers and turn signals work fine but the emergency flasher button broke off and my flashers stay on. i have a strap tied around the collum for now to hold the button down so the flashers will stay off. man at chevy place said everything had to be replace inside collum ($400 bucks just for parts!). can the plastic button (square not round) be replaced? its a 96, 2wd, 4 door blazer with tilt steering.

Hi:
I hate to say it, but the entire switch needs replaced. However, I would get a second opinion for cost on the part. 400 seems high to me.
