Heater problem
1995 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I want to flush my radiator to put new fluid in. I was wondering if I could still do this bc I don't have a heater or airconditioning. My heater core broke a while ago and articles I've been reading say that once you put radiator flush in you start your car and put the heater on the highest it goes. But I was wondering if I could skip that step since my heater doesn't work and it would still work and not mess up anything? Or can I flush my radiator and not turn on my heater? And still clean it
