My fionce was driving my blazer and came home she said it was low on gas.I went to crank it up to go to the store and it wouldnt start.I put gas directly in to the breather and it starts but cuts off when that gas is gone. And I put 4 gallons in the tank.

Turn your switch to on, do you hear a humming coming from the back of the car? (The fuel tank), if not it is probally the fuel pump, if you run out of gas it can suck up debris that is at the bottom of your tank and it will kill your fuel pump. Sometimes your fuse for your fuel pump goes out first check that.
If you hear a humming, could be your fuel filter is plugged.

Usaually located in fuse box under dash, but it could be under hood near some relays near front passanger side. But I am not familliar with your exact model.
Unfortanatlly it is the pump 80% of the time. Good luck
