1995 Chevy Blazer Engine Size unknown Four Wheel Drive Automatic 167000 miles

i have a 1995 chevy blazer that wont go into 4 wheel drive. the light on the dash says it is engaged, but it does not work. how can i fix this?

Under the battery is the engagement actuator. See if it is working properly. Have seen many of them go out.Test it with a vacuum pump to see if it holds.
