I have 94 full size blazer. I hear a whine when i put it in gear, and the whine gets higher in pitch as i press the accelerator. It also changes pitch while in gear at idle if i turn the wheel, which led me to think it may be my power steering pump. Or could it be a trany problem? Need help!!

Um in your case you might be describing both problems, power steering and trans. If your trans is shifting ok, then to me it could be your torque converter, it can cause what you are describing from the berings going out. As for the power steering, go buy lucas power steering aditive, it works well with squeals and lubricates the whole system. good luck.
