Engine Cooling problem
1993 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

hi,

i have a leak in my engine coolent hose on my 93 chevy blazer, I was told by a mechanic that I have to replace the hose wit a new one. However ive been trying to take out the hose but I have been unsuccesful, is there a specific way in which the engine coolent hose can be taken out? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is it the hose that goes to the oil filter on the inner fender (driver's side front)? If so, the is an engine oil cooler line. It will either have a quick connect where you push down on it and remove a retaining clip, or it will bolt on. There will be an O-ring there that usually goes bad and causes a leak.

LEt me know if this is the item you are looking at. If not, can you take a picture of it and upload it for me. IT's hard when one isn't there to see and I want to make sure I am correct on the part you have mentioned.

Let me know if you run into trouble.

The only thing you can do is unbolt it. Would it make things easier if you removed it from the inner fender?
