My son drives a 1992 Chevy Blazer on Monday his speedometer quit working, the next day the gas gage quit working, then later that night when he turned on his lights it made a dinging soung - like when you leave you lights on with the engine cut off. He drove home with the dinging noise and as he was going up the hill to our house he said the engine kind of bogged down. The truck eventually died coming down the driveway and would not start. We pulled the alternator and had it checked it was still good - so we replaced the battery. The truck started but the gages still do not work and when the lights are on the dinging noise continues. Any ideas as to what might be the problem - a fuse maybe?
