1991 Chevy Blazer knocking noise

Sometimes when idling and driving there is a knocking sound it doesnt sound like it is coming from the engine more like underneath the driver seat. What could this be

Hi:
There really isn't anything under the seat that would cause the described noise. The next time you hear it, see if you can get a different location of the noise. It could be coming from the rear main or the trans.

Let me know what you find.

I think it may be the transfer case for my four wheel drive. But im not sure

When you get a chance. Check the drive shaft yoke where it goes in the transfer case. See if there is any play (up / down / left / right) and let me know what you find. There is a bearing in the tail shaft housing that may be giving you trouble.
