1988 Chevy Blazer transmission delays when going into rever

when i shift the truck into reverse it takes 3-4 seconds sometimes way longer to actually move i can rev it or idle it doesnt matter it just sits there i checked the fluid its fine a little dark but no metal or anything

the transmission filter could be getting clogged. Have tyou changed transission fluid and filter.
