I can shift between 2H to 4L with relative ease and my truck operates just fine in 4L but when I shift to 4H at a stop it shifts in gear, but as I drive it gradually slips out and when ever I turn it also slips out. Is this an issue with my transfer case, the linkage, or something else?

check your linkage and see if it is adjusted properly
