1986 Chevy Blazer safety check noise in rear end

I know the car is old but is in good shape and cranked right up. If anyone could let me know what a roaring could be in the back of the blazer I would appreciate it. Some leaks underneath,too. I am going to clean it up and see what happens. Maybe a good fishing truck or to go to school in. I just want it to be safe to drive at this point. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi there,

If the noise in constant with road speed i would be thinking wheel bearings, if you can get the noise to change pitch with throttling on and off, diff & drive line problems, check this out first.
