OBD1 code tricks for 93 Beretta

A guy I work with and myself recently worked on someone else's car. After everything was put together, the service engine light was on. The Plenum was taken off to check the injectors and reinstalled. Autozone said the code was the MAP Sensor or vacuum leak. As far as I can tell, all vacuum lines were reconnected. Could the sensor just go out like that? Also, someone I know told me a trick. Using a piece of wire, stripped on both ends, put the ends in the cars computer on the two upper right sockets. Are there any other tricks I can do myself? It is a 1993 Beretta...3.1

Is it plugged in and the line to it in good shape? Not likely that it just failed from removing it and reinstalling it

As for as I know everything is plugged in and good. I will check again when I can get the car engine cool. There was 1 or 2 plastic lines under the Plenum that we could not find a connection for. I don't know if they broke or what.
