I have a 1994 Chevy Beretta. I've found that if you rev the idle up over 4k or a little more it starts hesitating. Maybe the Rev limiter? I don't know, any help is appreciated.

I also have a 94 beretta ( 3100 series) and it also cuts out at about that rpm. If you find out it is a rev limiter and how to change it, I would like to know what can be down about it, Thanks.

Yes, its a rev limiter. Its factory set at 4000 rpm.

This can be overridden by having the computer re-flashed and/or installing a performance chip.

I would recommend having a "chip" custom burned to your desired rev limit to prevent engine damage.
