The engine started running rough about 2 weeks ago. Seems to be flooding. Had O2 sensor error and replaced that but no change. Still have a 24 error (VSS). Cleaned the EGR valve and made no difference. Doesn't seem to have a vaccuum leak but haven't measured either. Can drive it but only if it kept at a higher rpm and find the "sweet" spot in the throttle.

When was the last tune up? Also, have you checked fuel pump pressure? Finally, this problem can be caused by a bad throttle position sensor or idle air control valve. Has the check engine light come on?

No I have not checked fuel pressure. Are you thinking it's to high? The check engine light will come on periodically but nothing consitent. The only error code is a 24. Last tunup. It has newer plugs and wires but could not tell you when. They were installed before I got the car about a year ago.

How do I check for throttle position sensor or idle air control valve?

Either one will set the check engine light. I would recommend checking for vacuum leaks and fuel pressure. If you need directions, let me know.
