1962 Chevy Bel Air 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I need to know if a 250 straight six engine can replace a 235 straight six.

Hi:
What year is the 250? also, my only concerns deal with the bell housing bolting and if you will be able to find motor mounts to fit both the vehicle and engine. Most likely, they will need to custom made.

Most Chev bell housings are the same, but if the trans is automatic, the flex plates might have different holes for the torque converter bolts. I don't think motor mounts should be a problem, but the oil pans could be different in depth, and where the sump is. Good luck.
