I have an Aveo and the alarm system goes off for no reason, is there a way to troubleshoot this and possibly reset the system or does it need to go into the shop

Wish I had an answer for you, but interestingly enough, my 2005 Aveo just hit 45,000 miles when my alarm began going off for no apparent reason. Coincidence?
