2005 Chevy Aveo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My husband bought a new battery and the car worked okay for part of the day yesterday, then stalled and wouldnt restart just making a clicking sound when u turned the key is that my alternator

both battery and alternator both have the same symptoms. but in this case it is the alternator not charging the battery
