The front passenger side tire is almost bald and the tires are only six months old, at a speed 60 or so a slight vibration can be felt in the steering. No knocking yet, but I was wondering how can you check the cv joint yourself before taking the car to a shop?

best way to check a cv joint is to drive slowly on a flat surface with lots of room, turn left and turn right working vehicle through full motion, you will hear a clicking noise if the cvs need servicing.
