2008 Chevy Avalanche Electrical quit during rear passenger

I had the radio playing while I was removing the door panel. Everything was going well; then, as I reached to remove the power connector from the window switch, everything went dead. I tried removing the ground from the battery and replacing. All I get now is the check engine light, and nothing works. Can you help?
