2004 Chevy Avalanche

Driving over 35MPH in the rain the driver side wiper stalls, then 'flops' to the side of the car presumably too weak to power thru the rain and wind. the other wiper continues to work great. Reducing speed, I can push the wiper back and it resumes normal operation. what can I do to get the wiper to work under rainy highway speeds?
Note, this occurs on all wiper speed settings.

Have you checked where it mounts to make sure nothing is stripped?
