2004 Chevy Avalanche performance chip

my husband has a 2004 avalanche that has a vortec 5800 engine in it. the high performance chip keeps popping (blowing as he says it). the service light came on once, but that was because the gas cap was not on tight. if possible, please help. thanks

We only recommend direct fit parts. If this is an aftermarket part, he needs to contact the part manufacturer. There are too many different parts and manufacturers to keep up with.

If this is dealing with a factroy part, let me know exactly what it is. And by popping, do you mean a fuse blows or something different?

lbec fuse and the crank fuse. also the performance chip is aftermarket; didn't come with the car
