2002 Chevy Avalanche 4 wheel low drive

My truck is stuck in 4 low,I can't seem to get it to disingage into any other drive when the button's are pushed

It sounds like a problem with the 4wd actuator on the transfer case. It is an electric motor that changes the truck from 2 hi, 4 hi, and 4 lo. What you need to do is have a helper press the buttons for 2 hi while you check to see if there is power to the actuator. If there is power, remove the actuator and have it checked. Chances are that is the problem.
