Astro van rear Leaf springs shot

Mine failed due to side impact (lent it to my wife!)
I initially made a clamp and bolted it on the spring to squeeze together the fibreglass.
Later, I bought [u:9002a9f7ea]a used leaf from a junkyard[/u:9002a9f7ea]. It's a little difficult to line up the rear shackle pin.

I own a 94 chevy astro van awd. It has well over 150,000 miles. My problem is the rear leaf springs are the fiberglass type and they are coming apart where they connect to the axle. What I need is to know where I can purchase replacement springs and if they are availible only in fiberglass or if I can convert them to steel. Thanks?
