how do i fix the SLOPPY steering? its all over the place, its not precise, do i repace it with something else or am i doomed till i sell it

Loose steering can be a number of things or a combination of multiple worn parts. You need to lift the front end and have someone shake the tire side to side. Look at all the joints. Tie rod ends idler arms center link, and ball joints. See if there is any unusual play.
