I have an intermittent problem and I believe it involves the computer (ECM). The engine turns over and if it doesn't fire immediately, I will not be able to get it started. The only solution I have found is to disconnect the battery for at least 24 hours. When I reconnect the battery, the van starts immediately.

Is there a quicker way to reset the computer if it fails to start?

I have had it in the shop several times and my confidence is very low on any of them being able to fix the problem. They all seem to reject the idea that the ECM is failing.
