2003 Chevy Astro check gauges light

My check gauges light comes on intemittently. What does this mean? What could be the problem?

Hi:
It is indicating that there is a problem with one of the gauges on the dash. WHen it comes on, check your gauges... Oil pressure, temp, alt... One of them wil be indicating a problem.
