only occasionally wont start. cranks over with fuel and no spark. cranks with no attempt at starting. when it finally starts the security light is on. bad ignition switch? or crank sensor.

Your not going to know what caused it until you have the Passlock codes read and that will require using a Tech2 scan tool.
