The rear Hatch will not open even when using the key. Removed door panel and popped latch by pulling on rods. Found out key lock is electronic and should activate actuator. The actuator had bare wires So I removed it and tested with 12 volts and it worked. Also at the same time of latch problem power lock swiches in front doors stopped working but remote will open all the doors except back hatch. Found 20amp fuse blown under hood (marked as ATC fuse) replaced and still power door lock switch and rear hatch don't work. One of the relays under the dash does click but I still traded places with the other one. Just one clicks when using remote to open doors. I also swaped the relays in fuse box under the hood with each other since they were the same part. still no latch on power lock switch.

Hello - Please check fuse 13, CIG LTR fuse and PWR ACCY at instrument panel fuse block and let me know what you find. Also check A, it is a circuit breaker......... Also check the BATT Fuse Circuit breaker under the hood. Use an ohm meter to be sure the fuse is good........or bad for that matter.

Hello –

Hey I forgot one other thing Please go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O’Reilly’s (OR) and for FREE they can pull the codes to the car. Most important: Once they check your codes, if they find something and you don’t get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad. Then make sure you give us all of that. While there for FREE also they can bring their tester out and check your battery and alternator.

It appears your car may throw a code for a problem so lets check that too

Thanks and hope you have a great day.

I had the same problem. I checked the fuses, and solenoid actuator, which were good. I found that the key cylinder for the rear hatch attaches directly to a switch. That switch is mechanically linked to the push button latch release and was not working. Replacing that switch fixed the problem.
