Hi,

I installed both Right and Left Front Rebuilt Disc Brake callipers, and 2 weeks later both Fronts totally Locked up.
I could hardly get the van to move, and would not have to put my foot on the brake at a stop ligth.
The brakes were smoking, so I pulled the ABS fuse and afer I stopped the van and shut it off fo about 25 Minutes, the Front Brakes released.

Any Ideas?
Is there a reset on the ABS Brake System?
I am afraid to put the ABS Fuse back in.
Thanks

Hi:
The ABS won't cause the brakes to lock. Did both start at the same time? If so, I would start by making sure you can push the caliper pistons in. If you can't, open the bleeder valve to see if it will push in. If it does, the problem could be the master cylender or bad rubber brake hoses connecting to the caliper. But that would be odd for both to go bad at the same time.
Let me know what you find.
Joe
