2001 Chevy Astro selector switch doesn't change air directi

When running the Heater/AC the selector switch will not change the air position. It stays on "Floor/Defrost at all times. It started doing this only at times, now all of the time. It also sounds like one of the "Air Ducts" is plugged up.

In this case, you are looking for a vacuum leak. The vent doors are actuated by engine vacuum. If the vacuum isn't there or is too weak, this is what happens. Check under the dash for leaks and follow the supply line to the engine to make sure it isn't disconnected or damaged.
