2001 chevy astro pass window

on the pass. side window it goes up and down the middle third. when it stops a grinding noise could be heard. i want to know if it could be the motor or regulator, or even both. it does move so I'mnot sure what it is. Also how do I troubleshoot the problem? This came on with no warning. HELP THANKS!

thanks for the info. Is it a hard job to replace the motor & what all do I need to do the job once the panal is off. Should I get rivots seperate or do they come with the motor? THANKS

every vehicle is different. i haven't done one on your model. mostly on fords. they can be very tricky if you've never done one. i do believe you can pop the panel loose with a screwdriver. be careful to panel can crack easy. good luck
