2000 Chevy Astro Starting when damp

2000 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 170K miles

This Chevy Astro will start fine when dry. However, if it rains or gets damp from condensation it will not start. I have resorted to opening the hood and placing a large box fan above the engine opening. After about an hour of the box fan treatment, it will again start.
Where should I look for a solution?

I have had this problem two different times and a distributor cap androtor replacement solved them both.
