I purchased this van with app. 40000 miles and no service records. It runs great but I tried to find, online, a maintainance schedule. This is what I found.
tranny flush-30000
coolant-5years or 50000
plugs-100000
air filter-30000
fuel filter-30000
rear axle fluid-?
timing belt or chain-?

I have so far only replaced the front brake pads, air and fuel filters.

That should be an owners manual for your vehicle. According to the forum rules, I'm not sure if I can post links to other web sites?

I cannot find any info in the owners manual concerning this.

I know that in the older vehicles, the chain would eventually stretch necessitating a timing adjustment.

The van has 80,000 miles.

I've never fooled with a timing chain unless there was an issue. I've never replaced a timing chain as a maintenance issue. I don't believe I've ever seen a mileage spec for that?

I had heard that when a timing belt breaks, major engine damage will result.
I guess that I have nothing to worry about since I have a chain.

Thanks for the info!
