2years ago my van would not start when it rained . It would crank fine but not start. I had the wires, plugs and cap changed and it started fine .Then it started running rough and my mechanic changed the wires again. It runs fine but I have the staring problem again. He tried spraying the cap and wires with sealer. I changed the cap, rotor and distributer but still have the problem. please any solutions?

I want you to try something. At night, when it is dark, start the engine, open the hood, and with a spray bottle, spray water on all of the plug wires, distributor cap, coil... See if there is anything arcing.

Let me know what you find.
