Engine Cooling problem
1999 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 265K miles

I have noticed that the radiator is leaking at the seam between the aluminum core and the plastic side tank at the top hose area. Can this crimped joint be repaired or should I just toss this radiator and buy another.

Hi there,

There is a seal in there, but what normally happens is that the core plate cracks, get a radiator shop to check this out for you, you may be lucky and get away with a seal.
