1998 Chevy Astro pwr steering/pwr brkes

Brakes problem
1998 Chevy Astro 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

power steering and power brakes both quit at the same time. does this have something to do with the hydroboost system in this particular vehicle and how can it be fixed? there are no lights lit on my dash as a result of this problem. I am mechanically inclined and if there is a pump involved i can probably fix or replace it myself.

Most likely the P/S pump has failed GM has tendency to break shaft in pump still turns looks normal but no pressure.
